It is hard to believe that the Browns Home Opener is here! It is hard to believe that the Browns won last weekend! 😊 I have a number of buddies who wait and wait and wait for the football season to begin. And when it does—they celebrate! People from all over come together and celebrate what they love. The energy the Home Opener brings to northeast Ohio is great.
I bring this up because I think in a real way the Browns Home Opener is a lot like the Parish Festival we offer at the Parish. Our Parish Festival Committee has been preparing for months and waiting eagerly for this day—September 18—the same day of the Browns Home Opener. We will show the Browns game and offer beer (so no excuse to not come 😊). This time of gathering, I pray, will be a time where people will come from all over our area to spend time with one another and celebrate who they love—JESUS! I am happy for this opportunity for our parish. So come on by. It’s not too late to cancel something last minute and enjoy great food, exciting music and good quality time together. Sunday, September 18 from 12:00-4:00. We will close with an Outdoor Mass @ 4:00.
Last weekend, on September 11, we celebrated Grandparents Day! It is a great time to reflect on how loving your grandparents were for you. As I was reflecting on the ways they loved me and cared for me over the years, a memory came to mind. As a young kid, I remember my grandparents taking me all over to hike during the Fall Hiking Spree. We would collect metals for their hiking sticks and feel accomplished after hiking so many trails. I share this because beginning September 24, we will be Hiking as a parish family again. Mark your calendars for the next six Saturdays at 10:30. Check out the schedule below…
Holy Hiking! Saturdays @ 10:30 AM
See you Sunday!
