A Greeting From Fr. David Verbsky

A Greeting From Fr. David Verbsky

Posted on : June 15, 2022

Hello! Father Jeremy graciously offered to share his pastor’s column so I could introduce myself to you properly.

Originally from Mentor, Ohio, I went to Mentor Public Schools and graduated from Mentor High School in 2004. My parents, my sister, and her family including my niece and nephew still reside there. For college I went to BGSU where I earned a degree in Supply Chain Management, followed by 6 years working in purchasing for Rockwell Automation and Avery Dennison.

Like Father Jeremy, I have a special connection to St. Gabriel Parish in Concord but mine is that it was where I went through RCIA to be fully received into the Catholic Church as an adult. St. Mary Parish in Chardon would go on to become my home parish as I was recruited to serve on the core team for their Life Teen ministry.

Most recently I served as a transitional deacon at St Brendan Parish in North Olmsted. As beautiful as that time was, I am so excited that one journey, 7 years of seminary, is complete so that this next journey of serving you here at St. Francis de Sales can begin!

In Christ,

Father David  (aka Father David Michael Thomas More Bartolo Longo Paul Verbsky!)
